This scene is the final battle in the film The Lion King. I chose this scene because I have to sing all Disney movies’ songs and the first one movie song I sang was The Coconut song in film The Lion King.
The Lion King’s genres are adventure, comedy and animation.
This scene is very awesome. It is also very touching and there is also strong emotions like wrath and bitterness and I think there is also a little bit sarcasm. And Simba used exactly same word than Scar “Run away Scar and never return”.
In my options these voice actors made awesome performance. Expressions were very lively. I think voices were pretty scary but it isn’t a bad thing 🙂 Feelings were very strong.
Well, there is no wardrobe or props, because the film is animation. I liked the slow motion the most, it was cool. Settings were all right.
I liked the musical score but the music was a little bit scary because it sounded strong and great.
I liked the director’s way to shot the film because in film all the characters are animals and music is fabulous (music is by Hans Zimmer, some of the songs are by Elton John and Tim Rice) and also the backgrounds were dramatic and beautiful.

You chose a good clip to make your point, and I must admit that I’ve seen the Lion King at least ten times – and I’ve always cried, too!
The movie is very touching and as you said, it stirs up many emotions from tears to wrath. Still, you could have explained more in detail what are the exact scenes/parts that provoked such feelings in you. Why was it touching? Awesome? Examples of wrath and bitterness?
In addition Lotta, though a lot of people have seen this film (like the undersigned), you’re not supposed to assume that people know everything about the movie or whatever topic you’re presenting. You should be able to be so clear and explicit that also those people who have never heard about the whole thing are able to understand you. Unfortunately, this was not the case now. Remember not to do any assumptions while writing to your audience because you actually don’t know everything about them!
Next time try paying more attention on the structure of your essay too. Paragraphs are not made of one or two loose sentences, but they contain more ideas that are somehow bound together with one another (linking words! mind maps before starting to write!). This is the problem, for example, with paragraphs 2 (only one sentence!) and 3 (the gist?).
You have good ideas, just develop them further and remember to ANALYSE them!
Content:room for improvement
Media appearance: good
Grammar: satisfactory:
-the Lion King (in italics)
-“the Coconut Song” (in quotes)
-the final battle OF – the Lion King
-all the songs in the Disney movieS
-of/in -the Lion King
-, and THERE ARE..(emotions)
– , and there is also a little bit of sarcasm (where? explain; link the ideas!)
-exactly THE same wordS AS (when were these words first said and then when did Simba use them? Who is Simba/ who is Scar?)
– In my OPINION; (remember to check the comments; Anna already explained you the difference between “option” and “opinion”; check the previous posts/comments)
-THE voice actors…AN awesome performance (in what way? be clearer!)
-I think that THE voices (articles!)–> THE feelings (of whom?), AN animation, THE settings (were all right/ alright? In what way?)
-THIS isn’t
-final paragraph: choose either the present tense or the simple past and be consistent!
-to SHOOT
-in THE film
-I liked the director’s way to shot the film BECAUSE in film all the characters are animals (I CANNOT understand how these two issues are connected to each other?!? 😉 )
-Finally, I would have liked to know why you have to sing all these Disney songs… In addition, I actually think that there are props and wardrobe also in cartoons, though they a drawn…
And PS. For Roosa: interested IN, nostalgiC 🙂

Hi, Lotta!
I understand your intrest to Lion King- movies, ’cause I love them too! The songs are nostalgick!
Unfortunately the grammar and dictionary were a little too lacking 😦
But your opinions about the movie were great, and I agree with you, some scenes are very touching and I got to admit, I’ve cried while watching Lion King 😀
Anyways, nice post Lotta!
